Aim – Despite the misuse of earthly power, God accomplishes His good purposes

Principle: Using earthly power for our own advantage hurts ourselves and others

II. God’s Sovereign Power (Esther 2)

Principle: God uses His sovereign power to accomplish His good purposes

Costly Compromise and Painful Obedience (Ezra 9-10)

Doctrine – Sin, its character and universality

Attribute – Righteous

Aim – God reveals our sin to lead us to repentance and obedience

Divisions:

I. The Mourning of Sin (Ezra 9)

Principle: God reveals the gravity of our sin so we can see sin like He does

II. The Repenting of Sin (Ezra 10)

Principle: God convicts us of our sin to lead us to repentance
