Justification by Faith (Romans 3:27-31)

Doctrine – Faith

Aim – All people have access to God’s justification through faith in His Son

Divisions:

I. Faith Apart from Works of the Law (Romans 3:27–28)

Principle: Sinners are justified by grace and through faith in Jesus alone

II. Faith for All People (Romans 3:29–30)

Principle: ALL sinners are justified by grace and through faith in Jesus alone

III. Faith Upholds the Law (Romans 3:31)

Principle: All justified sinners through faith in Jesus alone are called to uphold the law

How God Saves Sinners (Romans 3:21-26)

Doctrine – Salvation

Attribute – Savior

Aim – Only God can provide the costly, saving righteousness sinners need

Divisions:

I. Righteousness Made Available (Romans 3:21–24)

Principle: Only through faith in Jesus Christ can sinners receive the righteousness required to stand before a holy God

II. Righteousness Purchased at a Price (Romans 3:25–26)

Principle: The gift of salvation costs believers nothing, but it cost Jesus Christ His life
